Jason is Spokane’s very own voice of classic rock. Jason has been a local fixture on Spokane’s radio waves for over a decade, and a Jack-of -all-trades within the radio community.
The start of Jason’s radio career may have began behind the control board, but it wasn’t long before his many other talents began to get some recognition. Today, Jason is not only a recognizable hometown, homegrown voice on Spokane’s 98.9 KKZX, but Jason also works behind the scenes as the Program Director of 1280 FOX Sports.
In 2010 Jason joined Inland Empire Bloodhounds Search and Rescue, a Non-Profit Organization that trains Bloodhounds for Search and Rescue Operations with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. In 2011 and 2012 Jason served as the Vice President of Inland Empire Bloodhounds and Communications Office of the Spokane SAR Council.
Over the course of his involvement with Search and Rescue, Jason’s had the opportunity to work with some of the America’s Top Police and SAR K9 trainers including; Kelli Collins, Sandy Stuart, Pam Nyberg, John Salem, Kevin Baughn and the leading expert in Police Bloodhounds, Jeff Schettler.

Smartphones are getting smarter all the time, but the people using them... not so much. NBCNews.com has compiled a list of the dumbest things that people do on their smartphones, and suggests that if you do any of them regularly, you don't deserve to have one. Here they are:
- Obsessively take and share pictures of food
- Try to settle arguments via texting
- Use your smartphone as a lighter at a concert
- Take too many selfies
- Taking calls or incessantly checking phone in elevators
- Shooting videos in portrait mode
- Use Apple Maps for the iPhone
- Smartphoning while walking
- Keep notification volume on full blast all the time

NHL's Playoff Teams Compared To Celebrities
Last night was the opening night of the NHL playoffs, and The Wall Street Journal has compared the top-seeded teams to Hollywood celebrities:
- WILL SMITH - Pittsburgh Penguins (No. 1 seed in the East): “if there's a player and a team who have the same sort of crossover appeal, it's Sidney Crosby and the Pens.”
- ROBERT DE NIRO - Montreal Canadiens (No. 2 seed in the East): “Montreal has made a minor comeback this season as an elite team in the conference—not long after De Niro scored his first Oscar nomination in 21 years, for Silver Linings Playbook."
- CHARLIE SHEEN - Washington Capitals (No. 3 seed in the East): “They've flamed out early so often in recent postseasons that their fans need anger-management counseling.”
- MARK WAHLBERG - Boston Bruins (No. 4 seed in the East): “Wahlberg combines Hollywood stardom with a tough, working-class persona in just the right proportions for a Bruins team that won the Cup in 2011 and remains dangerous.”
- MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY - Toronto Maple Leafs (No. 5 seed in the East): “They haven't won the Stanley Cup since 1967, and this is their first playoff appearance since 2004. Their entire previous decade could be titled Failure to Launch.”

Virgin Galactic's Spaceship Flies For The First Time
Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo flew under its own power for the first time yesterday, soaring over the Mojave desert after being dropped from its mother ship. The spacecraft hit Mach 1.2 and reached an altitude of 56,000 feet before gliding to a landing. After a few more similar tests, SpaceShipTwo will eventually take its first flight to space.

Rocky Becoming A Broadway Musical
Yo, Adrian. You're going to Broadway! Sylvester Stallone announced Sunday that a musical adaptation of the iconic 1976 film Rocky will premiere at the Winter Garden Theater next February. The production is already a hit in Germany. It features a score by the composers of Ragtime and a story by the guy wrote The Producers and Hairspray. The musical stays close to the movie, but focuses more on Rocky's romance with the shy pet store clerk Adrian. "At the end of the day, Rocky is a love story," Stallone said. "And he could never have reached the final bell without Adrian.”

Eating Boogers Could Be Good For You, Says Prof
A University of Saskatchewan professor hypothesizes that a person could benefit from picking his or her nose and eating the boogers. Scott Napper, a biochemistry professor at the Saskatoon school, posed the unsavory hypothesis to his students, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Friday. "By consuming those pathogens caught within the mucus, could that be a way to teach your immune system about what it's surrounded with?" remarked Napper, who says he's developed an experiment to test his hypothesis.
