Sometimes they get special life jackets and swim to alleviate their arthritis, which makes them so cute your head may explode.
Heidi is a 4 year old Continental Giant who has recently (Jan 2013) been diagnosed with arthritis in her hips and knees as well as spondylosis in her neck. Her specialist vet recommended hydrotherapy. This video was taken during her 7th visit to a professional animal hydrotherapy pool in Hampshire, UK. Compared to her 3rd session (also on YouTube) you can see that she has gained much confidence and really enjoys the sessions - all are significantly helping her painful joints and she seems to be much more lively. She now wears a soft scrunchy (hairband) loosely around her ears as she hated getting water in them - she is absolutely fine with this.
